Vera, Thank you. This was taken with one of method which I use often. Set the focus very tight first then rotate the focus ring to out-of focus while shutter is open. With out-of focus, the intense light spot explodes and becomes beautiful colorful dot. It was Earth Hour and the spot light for Space Needle turned off and this is only time throughout a year that I can take bright background building with Space Needle without being over exposed (white out).
